Soft Play Rooms were first created in the late 1970s. Mike Ayres has been designing Soft Play Rooms and specialist sensory equipment for thirty years, and is an expert in the field.
Originally designed to help children and adults with disabilities, soft play rooms were quickly adopted by schools, hospitals, care centres and activity centres. Today, the concept has gone mainstream. You’ll find soft play areas in shopping centres, pubs, theme parks, hotels, airports, cruisers, campsites, ferries and leisure centres… to name just a few!
